The trophy was designed for the 8th European Cyclodextrin Conference, a biennial congress that marks the first edition of the award and brings together an international community of scientists and technologists involved in the chemistry and industrial applications of cyclodextrins. A brass profile, as solid as the foundation of scientific knowledge, is set in a block of resin that represents the fluid and ever-evolving nature of the research.
